(Friday, 13 December 2019).- The The Spanish firm  Araven has once again demonstrated that it plays a leading role in the sector devoted to professional equipment for the food service industry, with the launch, this month, of its new GastroNorm 2/1 food containers, with an innovative design and aimed specifically at large-volume, industrial catering customers, hotels or food industries.  This new line of 70 and 90 litre capacity containers offers an optimal design for thawing processes along with all the well-known exclusive features of Araven’s products, to make work easier while at the same time guaranteeing food safety and quality.

GastroNorm 2/1 containers are available in high-density polyethylene – more suitable for freezing and thawing- or ABS, ideal for storing food. They withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to +90 ºC, are hygienic and designed with rounded edges, making them ideal when it comes to cleaning, handling, nesting and stacking them. Furthermore the GN 2/1 wheeled platform makes moving the containers from one place to another an effortless task.

Both of the sizes, 70L and 90L have a version with a perforated base that is ideal for thawing out processesspeeding them up as the thaw liquids do not accumulate with the food.  What is more, the corrugated design of the base reduces the area that comes into contact with the product, and thus minimises the risk of bacterial growth as well as preserving all of the food’s organoleptic properties (taste and aroma).

To guarantee complete safety and hygiene, the smooth and perforated-base containers combine together so that the former can be used to collect liquids or juices from foodstuffs and prevent them from contaminating other food. This specially designed kit for thawing large batches of raw materials also has a lid to avoid any risk of contamination of the batch you are working with.

Naturally, these new containers also include all of the other patented features of Araven’s range of products, to endorse all the health and hygiene guarantees and help keep track of food and work processes (traceability).

With the permanent integrated label that forms part of the container itself and Araven’s marker pen all the details needed to identify basic aspects of each batch can be recorded clearly and simply.  This system sees an end to having to stick and tear off paper labels and leaves no marks after washing.

The distinctive colorclips, a set of tabs in four different colours, are an additional feature, allowing the different types of foodstuffs in each container to be identified and helping to prevent cross-contamination.
